Hello! My name is Cameo Mead and welcome to Cameo Therapy! As a Licensed Professional Therapist in the State of Texas currently practicing in Victoria, Texas, I approach counseling with a biological, psychological, sociological, and holistic viewpoint. I identify myself as a Christian Counselor.  I specialise in couples, families, and individual therapy.  I have worked with a wide range of clients that struggle with personal and family issues.

I specialise in trauma counseling and I am certified as an Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapist.  I have completed my PhD as a candidate in Family and Marriage Therapy.  I am an integrated therapist using research based therapy approaches such as Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Inner Family System Therapy, Solution Focused Behavioral Therapy Behavioral Therapy, and Emotional Focused Therapy.  

Before I became a therapist, I was involved with mental health work through volunteer, ministry, and mentoring programs.  I specialise in helping people deal with trauma events and empowerment. I am a United States Veteran and ex-police officer.  As for my private life, I am a mother of three grown children and two grand babies.  Love my fur-babies and nature walks.
